Planks Grassroots Prize Edit with Mark Donnelly

This month the winner of the Planks Grassroots competition for best GoPro edit and best UK edit, Mark Donnelly, headed out to Morzine for his prize trip.

Mark won a week at the Mountain Mavericks Ridewell Chalet, and was joined the film team who help him create his edits.

He said: "I had a blast! The chalet was awesome and the staff treated us like kings. If you ever get a chance to stay there then definitely ask to stay in the dungeon!

"Unfortunately, it rained and snowed for 80% of the trip but the sun came out eventually and we managed to get some nice cruisy shots. I was really stoked on the unnatural lazy boy 3, and the right 5 stalefish. It was really nice to hit a line of jumps again because it's probably been 2 years or so since I've been out in resort.

"Our good buddy Vickie Dunsmore showed us around and fed us fresh muffins and cakes every day. All in all we had a sick week shredding hard with great snow, despite the rain!"

Mark works on his technique at Snowfactor in Glasgow, where also teaches at and works at Ellis Brigham. His biggest Inspiration comes from Phil Casabon and Deja Parker, a fellow Snowfactor rider. Check out his videos on Instagram @killamuffin_
