We have teamed up with our friends at Ski Club to launch a programme of holidays specially designed for skiers and snowboarders who want to improve their skills.
If you feel like your level of skiing has plateaued and you are ready for a new challenge, we can help you take your skills to the next level. Ski Club has been running solo ski holidays for decades, so they know what they are doing. Travellers return year on year to discover new pistes and get better with their ski buddies. The holidays enjoy so much success due to a winning formula: take a group of skiers or snowboarders of the same ability, add them to a world-class resort with top instruction, add a dusting of après then leave for five to seven days and watch ski standards skyrocket.
The New Horizons programme covers five countries and invites skiers and snowboarders to build on their snow skills both on and off piste. Ski Club trips are popular amongst solo skiers, but we also welcome couples or groups.
To give you a taste of what the new trips entail, we are heading to Pila where skiers will work on their technique with the glow of pizza at the end of the tunnel each day. We will also be visiting French favourite Les Arcs, where the iconic tree runs draw visitors back year on year. This trip is low carbon and invites travellers to journey to the Alps by train, taking the funicular up to the slopes each day.
If you’d like to try skiing off piste, we are heading to Val d D’Isere where five days of guiding will familiarise skiers with the incredible backcountry in the area. And if you want to build on existing off piste skills, why not join us on an Introduction to touring trip? Freeride skiing and snowboarding is soaring in popularity and we can show you how to tackle chutes and couloirs, opening up a whole new world of skiing to you.
Many skiers and snowboarders dream of visiting Japan, and we have built the ultimate bucket list adventure which includes a week of skiing in the legendary powder of Hakuba. Skiers and snowboarders will be shown the best powder by local guides and have the opportunity to travel by train and visit a monkey park. This trip runs parallel to Snow Machine festival where skiers can get their apres fix.
For adrenaline junkies, we can turbocharge your experience on snow! Our Pischa Mountain Adventure weekend contains more activities than you can shake a ski pole at. First an foremost we will be hitting the slopes of the Davos-Klosters area but the trip also includes the opportunity to try airboarding (body boarding on snow), fat biking, backcountry snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
And finally, we are heading to Mayrhofen where the party town will host a laid-back trip for skiers who share a similar ability, in one of the best resorts for terrain (and après) in the world.
Each trip will benefit from a Ski Club Rep with in-depth knowledge of the resort to ensure you get the best from the experience. With New Horizons, the Ski Club wants to welcome the next generation of skiers and snowboarders into its thriving community, and we look forward to having you on board.
